Estimating the training needs of workers in the agricultural sector in Assiut Governorate in the field of climate change

Abstract

This research aimed at Training needs assessment For agricultural personnel in Assuit governorate. More Specifically, achieving the Following objectives: (1) Training needs assessment to adaptation practices of temperatures increasing drought for agricultural personnel in Assuit governorate; (2) Training needs assessment to adaptation to temperature increasing humidity for agricultural Personnel. The most recent methods were used for needs assessment, the modified Detta N equation, and the new approach for assessing needs, Borich model, The study was Conducted on a random sample of 220 recommendations agricultural personnel in Assuit governorate. Data were collected by questionnaire during the period From August to October 2022. Frequencies, percentages and arithmetic mean were used for data presentation. The results indicated the overall medium Level of the respondents training needs about the studied practices (Knowledge and importance), as it presented an arrangiment of studied recommendations according to adaptation practices for temperature increasing (drought humidity), and the study recommended Preparing a training program to increase the knowledge of agricultural personnel in Assuit governonate about the studied practices and train them to implement these practices Correctly, with the necessity this program Content should depend on the Current study reached to.

إستهدف البحث بصورة رئيسية تقدير الإحتياجات التدريبية للعاملين بقطاع الزراعة بمحافظة أسيوط فى مجال التغير المناخى، وبشكل أكثر تحديداً تحقيق الأهداف التالية: (1) تقدير الإحتياجات التدريبية الخاصه بممارسات التكيف والاقلمة مع ارتفاع درجات الحرارة -الجفاف للعاملين بقطاع الزراعة بمحافظة اسيوط, (2) تقدير الاحتياجات التدريبية الخاصة بممارسات التكيف والاقلمة بارتفاع درجات الحرارة -الرطوبة للعاملين بقطاع الزراعة بمحافظة اسيوط , وتم إستخدام أحدث طرق تقدير الإحتياجات التي أمكن الإطلاع عليها (معادلة Delta N المعدلة، والمدخل الجديد لتقدير الإحتياجات)، بالاضافة الى نموذج بوريش , وأجريت الدراسة على عينة عشوائية بلغت 220 مبحوثاً من العاملين بقطاع الزراعة بمحافظة أسيوط. وتم جمع البيانات باستخدام إستمارة الاستبيان خلال شهراغسطس سبتمبر وأكتوبر 2022، واستخدمت التكرارات، والنسب المئوية، والمتوسط الحسابي لعرض النتائج. وأشارت النتائج للمستوى المتوسط للإحتياج التدريبى (المعرفة والاهمية) للمبحوثين على المستوى الإجمالي حول الممارسات المدروسة، وقدمت النتائج ترتيباً لممارسات الاقلمة بأرتفاع درجات الحرارة والجفاف, الحرارة والرطوبة للعاملين المبحوثين، وأوصت الدراسة بإعداد برنامج تدريبى لزيادة معارف العاملين بمنطقة الدراسة حول الممارسات المدروسة، مع ضرورة أن يعتمد محتوى هذا البرنامج على أولويات تلك الممارسات وفقاً لما أشارت إليه نتائج الدراسة الحالية حول ترتيب تلك الممارسات وفقاً لدرجة اهمية كل بند من بنود الاحتياجات التى تضمنها البحث, ومستوى معرفتهم بها
