Livestock is one of the most important components of Egyptian agricultural production, due to its contribution to increasing agricultural income. The research problem is represented in increasing the food gap rate of red meat in Egypt in general and in Qena Governorate in particular. Therefore, the research aimed to study the most important productivity and consumption indicators for red meat. In Egypt and Qena Governorate during the period (2004-2020) As well as estimating the most important economic performance indicators for calves fattening projects in the study sample, and the results of the research were based on two types of data, the first type represented in the published and unpublished secondary data obtained through the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Directorate of Agriculture in Qena , Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Qena, and the second type is represented in the primary data, which could be obtained through a questionnaire form for an intentional random sample of cattle breeders in some villages that produce the most red meat in the governorate. About 39.20 billion pounds in 2004, and a maximum of about 210.52 billion pounds in 2020.
