المستخلص

This study aims to identify the effected factors on productivity of date palm by estimating production function of dates in the New Valley Governorate. This study depended on achieving its objectives on production function using Cobb Douglas, using raw data obtained from field studies. The study findings indicate that the most important economic resources impact on date palm productivity: number of palm trees, organic fertilizer, and irrigation water quantity. Coefficients of production elasticity for these factors affected on the productivity of date palm in have reached approximately (0.890, 0.035, 0.617). This indicates that the use of these elements was in the stage economic of the law of diminishing returns. The total elasticity of the modulus was about 1.41, which reflects the increasing return of scales.
The economic return of the units of the number of palm trees, organic fertilizer, irrigation water quantity and the amount of nitrogen fertilizer more than one, while the economic return of the unit used labors less than one.
